-Me-
Frances has been referred to as a purple squirrel due to her experience, background and personality.
Frances is currently a VMware Cloud Foundation Product Manager in the Broadcom VMware Cloud Foundation Business Unit. She is responsible for Unified Configuration Management for the VMware software portfolio.
Frances’ experience is extremely varied due to the different roles and audiences she has worked with. In the eight years with VMware, she has served as a Core Solutions Engineer for both commercial and enterprise customers, been a Multi-Cloud Solution Architect supporting North American partners in their VMware Cloud business, created content as a Technical Cloud Solution Architect in the Multi-Cloud Center of Excellence-Technical Marketing, driven stealth product development in Cloud Product Management, and now driving aggregated configuration management across the entire VMware private cloud portfolio. Underlying this vendor experience, she was an admin and an architect for 15 years in Silicon Valley with some of the valley’s most historically well known tech companies.
Outside of her official capacity, she has served as a VMware Hands on Lab developer for many years. Her last HOL role was as Principal for the VMware Hyperscaler Products overseeing all the hyperscaler based labs that VMware produces on an annual basis. For the past several years, she has also been an exam developer for both VMware and AWS for several exams.
Personally, she lives in Menlo Park, California with her husband and two son’s who are known as Mayhem & Chaos. She is an active national real estate investor, candle maker, and always fascinated by what technology can do.
